Provoked Thought "The Final Dream Still Deferred"
"Jessie Jackson said today that voting rights were the crown jewel of the civil rights movement, but in reality, the crown jewel of the civil rights movement was never achieved because Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. realized that without economic parity or economic equality, voting rights and civil rights never got Americans of African Descent any closer to real equality in this nation. Dr. Martin Luther King's son said today that Dr. King would be rolling over in his grave about the supposed loss of voting rights in states today. But Dr. King was rolling in his grave when Black Americans seemingly ignored his final struggle to close the gap between the have's and the have not's. Our communities just let that dream wither away on the dead tree of hopelessness. The real battle and Dr. King's final battle was the "reparations battle" or "wealth redistribution battle". Because it was easy for America to put on paper civil or voting rights but it was almost an impossibility for America to give up economic paper to even the odds for poor people of color."Joseph Hall
King’s Holiday Work To Be Done America
"Folks are mistaking Dr. King’s August 28, 1963 dream as the central dream Dr. King envisioned on April 3, 1968, the last full day of his life. You see Dr. King awoke from the Dream in 1963 and realized there would be no true dream without America atoning for slavery, Jim Crow, and economic denial unless it came with economic reparations for Americans of African Descent.”Joseph Hall
Read and understand the Radical King not America’s homogenized King"
Happy Birthday Dr. King
"When Dr. King went to the mountaintop and looked over on April 3, 1968. He saw a nation that had atoned for all the evils it casted upon Americans of African Descent in the form of economic reparations. I would venture to say that the atonement of America is sorely lacking and the economic gap has widened between White Americans and the descendants of those who were held in bondage and lived under the boot of Jim Crow and terrible wealth stealing policies implemented by the government of this nation. So, please don’t mention Dr. King’s 1963 dream because he woke up and realized that America’s reality for Americans of African Descent was truly a nightmare. That’s why Dr. King’s final dream is still deferred and is crusty like an open wound. Happy 93rd Birthday Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. some of us understand that America’s homogenized King isn’t anywhere close to the Radical King who sought real definitive change in how America brings injustice into the homes of Americans by refusing to make right what it horrendously did wrong to his peoples. #ReparationsNow "Joseph Hall
