Being Bald Isn’t A Disability
"As someone born with a disability I truly am offended by those who feel that Jada Smith’s alopecia is disabling. If her loss of hair was caused by cancer treatments than I would have sympathy but come on she isn’t disabled. Jada feels she’s entitled and guess what she isn’t. All the sister has to do is wear a wig or see a barber. If I had to choose between being born with my disability or being bald headed, well that choice would’ve been easy. I’d chose baldness everyday."
April 4, 1968 Pay Me Now America
Pay me now you murderous bullet! How dare you take down this wondrous man of peace. Pay me now for all I lost to build up something that I cannot own. Pay me now for those strange fruits hanging low on the sycamore trees. Pay me now for Emmett Till's gruesome plight. Pay me now as Medgar's bones dissipate at night. Pay me me now for those 4 little girls who had hardly lived their lives. Pay me now for Malcolm's life which was stuck down by an assassins plight. Pay me know as our peoples sacred King was laid out on a bloody balcony in the hateful south. Pay me now as I fill this bottle with gasoline and flick the flame. You pay me because your laws and tactics caged me. Pay me because when I strike back I can destroy what’s near me.
The blood was spilled that evening around dinner time 54 years ago. The body was laid out riddled by an assassins shot. The man
of peace, hero to everyday Americans and the downtrodden Americans . He spoke of hope of truth of equality. He wanted the best from everyone and asked for nothing in return. He gave his all when he could have stayed silent.
Within minutes of the shot and word of the murderous act cities across the country burned as pent up anger engulfed the nation. The ambers that had once burned for the equality that he and others sought decimated with that single shot. Now only lit ambers of hate and frustration of a people who had given up much and received little. The glass that was once filled with hope now overflowed with anger and want.
You see America we still must fight for all we've gain. We still look back to that frightful evening in Memphis when everything changed. When a bullet's flight took down this warrior of justice, this man who lived to make this nation right.

We Do We Go As A Community
Another Senseless Act of Violence Gains Us Nothing
What's the difference between a murderous act of criminality and a murderous act of terror? I can see victims dying as a result of either act still die because of the violent senseless action. A single act
of terror produces an immediate result that spreads fear to a larger portion of the surrounding jurisdictions. While the single criminal act of murder spreads fear to the most affected communities and is ignored by
the larger communities not affected. Many look whether connected to the victims or not for retribution for the act of terror. While only those connected to the victims in the acts of criminal murder seek retribution. Yet, both acts produce a sense of terror
that separates our society. To the victims of the senseless act of a shooter, or shooters last night in Sacramento, California may your souls rest in peace. To those who created the terror experienced last by those who survived may you get some comfort in
gaining solace in the fact that you survived. To the shooter, or shooters know that whatever motivated you to pull the trigger or triggers you gained nothing more than eternal despair to those people who loved and protected you before last night. You see until
we all understand that our struggles are interconnected we as a community will never reach the plateaus of that mountaintop nor the beloved valley that Dr. King saw on April 3, 1968. Dr. King spoke against violence but many in our community seem to have forgotten
King's abject opposition to violence and only want to create acts of violence without understanding the terrible cost that violence brings. Violence anywhere is violence everywhere and it must be erased before we can purpose ourselves to be the shepherds of
humanity we are supposed to be. The next time you feel the need to pull the trigger or triggers look around and find someone to love because love is indeed the ultimate power.
