A Black Blogger With A Purpose

It's funny I have been building my blog to this current level of productivity since 2016. I haven't once put a photo of a naked ass or huge tits on my blog. I've dedicated my blog to sharing black historical knowledge and provoked thoughts on today's issues. It has been hard work even though I experience pain every day I still feel its necessary to deliver a post to my followers. I feel that my blog building has delivered, so in that term, it is an exceptional feat.

I would like to expand my blog to include other voices if you are interested please contact me directly. This Memorial Day weekend, while you and your family are on your smartphones, smart pad, computer desktops, or computer laptops please visit my blog site. The one thing I would like to see more of is encouraging support from my black community. Simply click the LIKE button for either the blog or the blog post.

It is important that we, as a people recognize each other's hard work and perseverance. Because if we don't who will? I try my best to produce meaningful posts that deliver intellectual thought. It is also my intention to create something people in our community will be willing to read on a daily basis. As our media channels are closing off to us in many communities. The blogs become an avenue to share knowledge as well as channel others to create and share.

I truly believe that I will easily exceed 1000000 page views this year. So take a chance on my blog and I assure you it will be an interesting journey into the mind of a Blackman who has experienced much and is likely to experience more in this path we call life. Even though I am a historically black college educated black man with a degree. I now consider myself self-educated, just like Malcolm X was self-educated. Because the knowledge that I acquired outside of my college classrooms is far more comprehensive than the knowledge I acquired in those classrooms.

I believe that I now have a Ph.D. in outside knowledge it is directed by my professional endeavors which were broadened by being around many literacy professionals. In addition, I continued to read books in varying disciplines which provided me the ability to be able to discuss multiple topics. The topics that I feel very comfortable discussing are our black history and the pressing issue of black male illiteracy.
I can have an intelligent discussion with an educated man or the common man. So join me today, or any day on my blog, or on my special project, The Blackman's Read Aloud Hour.

The Atomic Dog

I just happened to watch this video about Parliament-Funkadelic and all I can say is damn. The name of the video is Tear The Roof Off: The Untold Story of Parliament Funkadelic. If I had only known what was going on behind the stage of this group of talented black musicians I think I would've not cheered as loud during their performances. I mean George Clinton took absolute advantage of these young people. Clinton used drugs to manipulate and control them, Clinton also forced impressionable young black women into sexual coercive acts. It was as if George Clinton became a pimp for his own sexual pleasures. As the musicians in the P-Funk Family matured they finally began to realize that many had already sold their souls to the devil that had embodied the mind of George Clinton. So much artistic talent, so much personal abuse, and the person who controlled the unit couldn't read music or even play the keyboard. Also, Sly Stone's role in the downfall of the group was revealed. Sly taught George Clinton how to freebase and the Lord knows once the crack pipe is exposed and the rock is all powerful, the destruction of everything nearby is a certainty. If you have the opportunity and you are a fan historically of the group Parliament, out of Plainfield, New Jersey, and Funkadelic originally from parts near as well as from Plainfield, New Jersey. You owe it to yourself to watch this informative program. It shows the destructive ability of how power, drugs, sex, and money can mangle even the most talented and artistic people. Wow, George Clinton you indeed was the Atomic Dog.

"ONE MINUTE YOU'RE UNLEASHED" (TWO MINUTES IN TIME)

HEY THERE IN THE CORNER
UNSHINED AND TARNISHED
BASKING IN MEDIOCRITY
HIDDEN FROM VIEW
YEAH YOU
WHAT'S THAT AURA REFLECTED IN YOUR HAIR
WHAT'S THAT GLEAM EMANATING FROM INSIDE YOU
YOU'VE TRIED TO HARD TO HIDE THAT BLACK MAGIC
EVEN LISTENED TO THE NEGATIVE FORCES
NOW THAT IN ITSELF IS SO DAMN TRAGIC
HEY YOU, YEAH YOU
NO LONGER HIDDEN FROM VIEW
YOU HAVE NOW BEGUN TO LOOK INSIDE
YOUR AURA'S THERE
THE GLEAM IS SO MUCH BRIGHTER
THE MAGIC OF BLACKNESS
HAS OVERTAKEN THE GLOOM OF DESPAIR
IT IS EVEN APPARENT BY THE CLOTHES YOU WEAR
YOUR STEPS ARE LIVELIER
YOUR VOICE IS NOW MORE PRONOUNCED
THE THOUGHTS YOU THINK NOW
ARE THE THOUGHTS YOU KEPT HIDDEN
YOU KNOW NOW THAT SELF-BELIEF IS THE TOOL
THAT PERSONALLY NEEDED SHARPENING
YOU'RE CUTTING THROUGH PROBLEMS LIKE KNIVES THROUGH SOFT BUTTER
NO ONE CAN STOP THOSE INNER FORCES THAT ENERGIZE
YOU WALK IN A ROOM AND EVERYONE IS IMMEDIATELY MESMERIZED
HEY YOU, YEAH YOU
YOU HAVE BEEN UNLEASHED
YOU'RE SHARP, SO SHARP
BLACK BRILLIANCE WITH NO CREASE

Skyler Rose Hall

Today, I salute my daughter, Skyler Rose Hall, as she begins this first stage of true adulthood. Skyler will be graduating from Northern High School in the first week of June 2019. She has done some remarkable things during her four years in high school. She was a sometimes not willing student who found her scholastic excellence in her time. We, Robbin and I never attempted to force Skyler beyond what her limits were at any given time. We both as parents wanted Skyler Rose to find her excellence in her own time. We both knew that once Skyler identified her passions in school, in the classroom, and in her social environments the bars she set for herself would far surpass any self-imposed bars of achievements we established. So we both sweated this process out waiting for the moment that her brain clicked.

It started innocently enough. Skyler started going to the area gym during her 9th-grade year preparing to participate in cheerleading. Little did we know that her activation was not cheerleading. Although Skyler did, in fact, participate in cheerleading for all 4 years at Northern High School. Skyler Rose's passion became an avid gymnast who would develop a regiment of training 6 days a week for 120 minutes sets. Skyler also became an avid nutritional specialist who created her own diet that allowed her to be one of the fittest high school students in this country, I believe.

Along with this drive for athletic perfection came a desire to be more competitive in her classrooms. Not competing against other students but competing against herself. Just as in the gym she isn't competing against others in the gym. Skyler took that same level of dedication to a formula of personal growth from the gym to the classrooms. Robbin and I are entirely confident that our daughter will be a significant contributor to the Morgan State University community next fall. The entire family will be joining Skyler on her journey to Baltimore City in the fall because our journey in Calvert County, Maryland ends with Skyler's graduation. We're excited about what new adventures away Skyler as she proceeds to the next stage of her life. I only hope that she is able to instruct others on finding their life's passion as she is beginning to find her's.
