Reparations Now

If George Washington condoned the oppression of our enslaved ancestors. Really, what real chance did our ancestors have? I mean he was the supposed Father of this Country, right? The time is ripe to repay the debt that is due for the unrighteousness of this nation that was lashed on the bodies and minds of our ancestors.

Although there really cannot be a true accounting or reckoning for the savagery of the Institute of American Slavery. There must be a price paid for the loss suffered and felt by the preceding generations of those descendants. That’s why the quest for reparations must never be forgotten and atrocities should never be forgiven until that economic price has been paid. America would not have been America with the blood, toil, pain and inhumanity suffered by African Americans. It’s time to reconcile that fact and make right what has been so inherently wrong for so long.

Thinking Out Loud
"Looking at the NBA Western Conference next year and wondering where do the Los Angeles Lakers fit in? The Warriors, Suns, Nuggets, Clippers, Grizzlies, Mavericks, Jazz, Pelicans, Timberwolves and then you have the rest: Spurs, Kings, Trail Blazers, Thunder, Rockets, and the Lakers. I think that the Lakers are closer to the bottom 6 then the top 9. So are the Lakers a play-in playoff team struggling for a 10th seed for the foreseeable future? It sure as hell looks that way. If I was the Lakers I’d crush this roster trade AD and James for some 1’s and look to win the draft lottery in 2025 which is when they have their next #1 Draft Choice if the Pelicans choose to take possession of the 2024 pick. Who wants to coach this train wreck of a team? Well, it is in LA but with the pressures to win with no real chance of winning. It’s going to be a ball buster and unforgiving job. James is a great offensive player but he’s a half court player now, playing no defense and Anthony Davis cannot stay healthy. Russ, well Russ is Russ and even the old Russ cannot help this team win. This Russ, well let’s say that Westbrook train has left the tracks. The team has no cap space in the foreseeable future. I feel sorry for the great Laker fans but as least Los Angeles still has those beautiful women to look at, and the Rams and the Dodgers to cheer for plus they can live vicariously through the possible success of the Los Angeles Clippers. Plus the team colors are golden and I’d wear the hat if given ☝️ one."
