Marching

Why are we still out here marching
While the police still out here disregarding our rights
Discharging guns on our communities Oppressing without charging
That’s damn sure alarming
The police still are harming while cities are militarily arming
Ain’t nothing about this injustice is charming
They need to stop bombarding our communities because our black brothers are not snarling
But we still out here marching and to me that’s quite jarring.

Sixty Pieces Of Lead

Sixty pieces of lead you think that black man in Akron is deadly dead?
Sixty pieces of lead you think one of them bullets hit his head?
Sixty pieces of lead isn’t Akron where King LeBron once laid his head?
Sixty pieces of lead when did Akron, Ohio become the Blackman’s Mississippi?
Sixty pieces of lead when did bullets replace nooses on trees?
Sixty pieces of lead, you think we’re scared? Tread lightly policemen because humanity’s dead… all because you felt it appropriate to kill that Blackman with sixty pieces of lead.
