600 Bucks Really Fancy Nancy

How truly invested is Nancy Pelosi in assisting the African American communities across this nation? She grew up in a sundown neighborhood to adulthood and has managed to accumulate 120 million dollars while serving in government as an elected official. It’s time for African Americans to divest themselves from both political parties until either of those parties invest themselves in truly closing the multiple gaps that exist between white and black Americans. Don’t even consider constant support of the Democratic Party without getting surety bonds of guaranteed projects that uplift and not depress our communities. First up get HR40 out of committee and cleared for passage in the next Congressional session.

He Stepped On My Shoe

Watching Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom Blues on Netflix was definitely quite difficult. Not only was watching the outstanding performance by Chadwick Boseman and knowing that this superior work was his final work was difficult. But also watching the movie and seeing the absolute oppressive conditions that our African American ancestors faced on a daily basis by America’s institutions of white supremacy. From capturing Ma Rainey’s understanding of the level of bigotry that forced her to give up her economic powers to whites. To the outrage that generated the murder of Glynn Thurman’s character by Chadwick Boseman’s character due to the wickedness of the white director of the sound studio. In the end the door that was always closed was the box that sealed opportunities for African American uplift. It was an excellent adaptation of the great August Wilson play. I can only hope that the Academy of Screen Actors honors Chadwick Boseman with a well deserved Oscar. Because he certainly deserved it. Rest In Peace my brother. “he stepped on my shoe”

Negro Religious Foolishness Of The Highest Order

I usually try to ignore situations I call “negro foolishness” but I grew into a man at The Bethel AME Church in Baltimore. I started attending the church in 1974 at the age of 20. I remember hearing now Bishop Bryant’s stirring sermons and being aroused and captured by the grace and greatness of God like no other time in my life. I saw his son Jamal grow up in the church as a boy then into manhood. So naturally, I somewhat followed Jamal’s ascension into the pulpit. Jamal’s had many ups and quite a few downs in his life as many young African American men experienced. But I just finished listened to his 22 minute diatribe from a Zoom he recorded last night. That was indeed some of the most straight ghetto shit I have ever heard. It seems that baby maker Jamal is again caught up in some negro foolishness again. This time it is being broadcast all over the internet and social media. It revolves around his ex-wife, Bravo, Housewife’s of Potomac, and his ex-wife’s girlfriends. After listening and viewing the Zoom. Let me first say how many paintings can you put on a wall Jamal before it’s one too many? You are supposed to a man of God yet you put yourself in a position to look like Satan’s deliverer. What does the saying I may live in Atlanta but I’m from Baltimore mean? Are going to bust a cap in somebody’s ass? What does don’t come for me unless you’re invited mean? Are you now a whirling dervish of payback? Brother, just how much did BRAVO pay you for that Zoom? Because you surely boosted the rating of this nonsensical show this coming Sunday. Hell, you even invited every member of the New Birth Congregation to watch the show. You told former Washington Redskin offensive tackle Chris Samuel to seek CTE treatment and I believe you accused his wife of having a baby with her trainer. All this supposedly documented in loose leaf binder of dirty facts about black people you keep. I know when you were in Baltimore you spilled quite a bit of dirt in your ascension to becoming one of the leading pastoral figures in the city. But your Dad was my religious Obi Wan Kenobi, so I gave you a pass. Now not so much. It’s pastors like you who run African American Christians from churches. What a shame that you continue to fall into the same media attention trap. You should know by now that  all visibility is good visibility. What I viewed in that 22 minute Zoom feature was pure foolishness at the highest level of negrodom.

A Blackman's Riff

Defining US

First off before I start my Blackman’s riff
I don’t want these words to send you off a cliff
Which could indeed make your body completely stiff
Let me define who is us?
Us are those oppressed
Us are those suppressed
Us are those continually depressed
Us are those neglected
Us are those constantly rejected
Us are those whose ancestors were enslaved
Us are those whose ancestors were tortured
Us are those whose ancestors were even butchered
Us are those whose ancestors weren't even paid a full day's wage
Us are those whose ancestors worked on chain gangs
Us are those whose ancestors mothers felt hatred's pain
Us are those who know the sound the jail cells closing
Us are those who know the sounds of mothers moaning
Us are those who know the sounds of daddies groaning
Us are those who seek shelters relief
Us are those who now understand society's disbelief
Us are those who see blue and panic
Us are those who see blue and even know what it means in a state of frantic
Us are those where reading words are barriers
Us are those who understand being treated worse than some white man's terrier
There is a little us in me, us in even in you, especially if your skin color has shades of black
Those shades that had you singing the blues
US is not the US of A because that nation has excluded US.
White Supremacy can’t define US

The African American Vaccination Hesitation Dilemma

Historically, African Americans have been America’s medical oppressed guinea pigs. So why would enlightened African Americans not be hesitant about taking a rush to the market vaccine that supposedly protects them from the COVID-19 virus? Our ancestors were targeted specifically to be the frontline in being forced into precarious medical experiments.
