The Blackman Who Reads Aloud Tribute To Fannie Lou Hamer
Where would we be in the Black communities across this nation with the spirit and determination of Fannie Lou Hamer? I have been reading the book UNTIL I AM FREE BY KEISHA N. BLAIN which details the life and works of Fannie Lou Hamer. I am as I am anytime I interact with Fannie Lou Hamer inspired by this incredible black woman. So, today I try as best I can to capture some of Fannie Lou Hamer's spirit and voice by singing Fannie's Hands. I hope you understand that I am not a lyrist but I harm that listeners get the point Fannie Lou Hamer's life's work was inspiring.
