How Is This Fair?

Did you know that 159 years ago today that slavery ended in the Nation’s Capital and that the only reparations paid before, during or after slavery ended officially in 1865 were paid to the white slave owners by the United States Government. Yes, $300.00 was paid for each of those 3,100 former slaves. I ask this question on February 2, 2021. Where the reparations for the descendants of the enslaved people who built this Nation’s Capital and this Nation’s Economy?
