August 25, 1925, Our Black History Need Never Be A Black Mystery, The Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Po

What would the black community civil, economic, social, educational conditions be had it not been for the establishment of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters on this date 92 years ago? Out of that development A. Phillip Randolph moved to the position of President of the newly founded labor organization. Today I salute both the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters as well as Mr. Randolph for his and their remarkable contributions in this historic mini lesson. I verse three of Mr. Randolph's speeches from 1921, 1941, and 1963 and give thanks to the All Mighty for the presence of these heroic men who stood tall against overwhelming odds to demand to be treated, respected, and paid as men. When they stood up our black ancestors began to stand with them.
